Meet Dr. Doerr →HOW A REFERRAL WORKS
Four steps, coordinated by the office so a case keeps moving without chasing.
The specific questions at issue, the available medical records and imaging, and any hearing or discovery deadlines.
Lauren confirms the details, arranges the examination or review, and keeps the referring party informed.
Dr. Doerr evaluates the matter against the complete medical record, the physical examination where one is performed, and the questions at issue.
A clear, well-supported opinion written so attorneys, adjusters, commissioners, and jurors can use it.
PRACTICAL DETAILS
Straight answers to the questions referring attorneys, adjusters, and claims professionals ask most.
WHAT TO INCLUDE WITH A REFERRAL
Yes. A confidential preliminary record review can provide early perspective on the medical strengths and weaknesses of a matter before a discoverable report is issued.
An independent medical examination includes an in-person evaluation alongside the medical record. A record review reaches its conclusions from the documentation alone, without an examination. Both address the specific questions put to them.
Dr. Doerr evaluates spinal, upper-extremity, pelvic, and lower-extremity injuries: cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine; shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand; pelvis, hip, knee, ankle and foot.
Attorneys, claims professionals, sureties, and injured parties. Complex findings are explained in language that jurors, mediators, and the Idaho Industrial Commission can use.
Board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery since 1999, recertified in 2009 and 2018 at the 96th percentile nationally. Spine fellowship trained, a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and practising in Boise since 1997. Full professional profile →
