01Can a case be reviewed confidentially first?

Yes. A confidential preliminary record review can provide early perspective on the medical strengths and weaknesses of a matter before a discoverable report is issued.

02What is the difference between an examination and a record review?

An independent medical examination includes an in-person evaluation alongside the medical record. A record review reaches its conclusions from the documentation alone, without an examination. Both address the specific questions put to them.

03What conditions are evaluated?

Dr. Doerr evaluates spinal, upper-extremity, pelvic, and lower-extremity injuries: cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine; shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand; pelvis, hip, knee, ankle and foot.

04Who are the reports written for?

Attorneys, claims professionals, sureties, and injured parties. Complex findings are explained in language that jurors, mediators, and the Idaho Industrial Commission can use.

05What are Dr. Doerr’s qualifications?

Board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery since 1999, recertified in 2009 and 2018 at the 96th percentile nationally. Spine fellowship trained, a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and practising in Boise since 1997. Full professional profile →
